RARE Design was established in 2003 by mother and daughter team, Jussara and Jan Bierman.

Meet the Team
Jussara is the design leader, and it is her creative energy that is the essence of the company. Jussara is a graduate architect, who utilized her design talent to build the RARE Design brand during her university years. Her clarity of vision in the development of a brand concept brings a fresh approach, and crisp thinking to create innovative and leading edge solutions for our clients.
Jan is the business and brand manager and writes the words behind the brand. Jan is an intuitive business woman, with significant experience as both a business owner and management consultant. Her strength is in business development, communication management, strategy, and marketing, and these skills are applied for the benefit of our clients in the development of their brand.
Our offices are located at Level 3, 60 Grafton Road in Grafton - we’ve got plenty of parking for your visit!
What Do We Cost? Rare Design is your outsourced design and marketing department. It’s cheaper, easier, and more efficient to hire us than it is to employ in-house staff. We’ve built the team so you don’t have to. So give us a burl!
Medium price ranges. We won’t compete on price with your “sister’s boyfriend’s mate”, but we’ll do a damn lot better job of growing your business! We also aren’t going to charge the arm and leg that a big agency will, since we’ve cut out the fluff and stuffing that usually goes along with big agency projects.
High quality work. We insist on doing things well, and we won’t cut important steps just to make things faster or cheaper, because it’ll always come back to bite you. Doing it right the first time, every time, is our mantra.
Reasonable timelines. We’ve refined our processes over the years to enable us to do great creative and strategic as efficiently as possible. We’re not an “overnight emergency” shop, but we’ll definitely move things along briskly for you.
How much does Rare cost? Our design rates start at $130/hr - more than a mechanic, but way less than a lawyer. We’ll provide you with an estimate of costs upfront, and can work with tight budgets - let us know your constraints, and we’ll help find the right solution.
